The 9-figure Indiana Jones ROLA proof sheet is extremely rare in itself, but this truly unique SET of 14-sheets not only includes the final full color sheet of 9 figure cards (front and back), but a separate sheet for each stage of the color separation process. Because a printing press applies only one color of ink to a sheet at a time, the process involves splitting colors in a composite image to produce a number of separate images. In the case of a CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) image, four separations are typically made. These are typically done on acetate overlays. In this unique Kenner reference set, a proof sheet printed on figure card stock was made of the various combinations of colors and graphic elements. The 14 sheets were held together as a set by a removable fastener.
